Better yet, Prof. Tsutomu Sato of Hokkaido University is teaming up with Prof. Kyoung-Woong Kim of GIST to help us teach the workshop!
What you will learn. Following a fully hands-on format, you will learn to construct, trace, and interpret models of reaction in multi-component geochemical systems. Specific topics covered include:
The best workshop I’ve ever participated in. The short theoretical introductions and illustrated exercises helped me learn the software in two days.
– Valeria B., Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
I thought the workshop was fantastic! The pacing and examples were very good and the course gave me a lot of ideas on how I can better use GWB.
– Morgan Warren, Golder Associates
Thank you for the amazing workshop! The presentations and hands-on exercises were tremendously helpful. I enjoyed it!!!

The workshop will be presented by Craig Bethke, Brian Farrell, Tsutomu Sato, and Kyoung-Woong Kim. Prof. Bethke is the R.E. Grim Professor emeritus at the University of Illinois. He is the primary author of The Geochemist's Workbench® software package and author of the Geochemical and Biogeochemical Reaction Modeling text, published by Cambridge University Press.
The workshop begins promptly each day at 8:30 am and ends by 5:00 pm. Please arrive a few minutes early on the first day, to make sure your laptop computer is set up correctly.
Space is limited, so sign up early. Register by April 2 for US$599, or $699 after that date. The workshop fee includes all course materials.
